Meeting the Messiah: A Feminist Musical Journey
Originally titled "Daughters of Eve" and recorded under "One Truth — He Lives," this 45-minute musical, script, and dance composition explores the raw, individual experiences of eight biblical women interacting with Jehovah of the Old Testament and Jesus of the New Testament.
Written in 1995 and studied with deep, protective love, this work reclaims the true, authentic names of these women—bypassing the historical translations of male poets and royal commissions. Because it centers entirely on the radical empowerment of women, it remains too unconventional for fundamental spaces, existing instead as a pure sanctuary for seeking spirits.
The Tapestry of the Eight Women
Eve (Chavah): The Mother of all Living, reclaiming the beginning.
Rebeccah: A living tone poem and choreographic dance of lineage.
Esther (Hadassah): The hidden evergreen myrtle standing in a foreign palace.
Deborah (D’vorah): The judge and honeybee speaking divine order into chaos.
Verenike (Veronica): The "Bringer of Victory" reaching through the crowd to touch the tassel.
Photina: The enlightened bearer of light at the Samaritan well.
Miriam (Mary, Mother of our Lord): The beloved vessel holding both the bitter sea and fierce Devotional Love.
Miryam ha-Migdalit (Mary Madeline): The Fortress Watchtower.

"He Lives" is the climactic song of Miryam ha-Migdalit (Mary Madeline) as she stands as the foundational first witness to the resurrection.
This melody carries a deep family legacy: my late son, Joseph Loveland, loved this musical deeply. He wove the exact musical notation of the lyric “On the wings of Joy I sing!” directly into the textures of his signature colored pencil artwork, Gryffindor Magic.
Here, his lines and my notes live together forever.
